Lushan Tao Yuanming Cultural Research Association

In the spring of 1985, in commemoration of the 1620th anniversary of the birth of Tao Yuanming, with the support and participation of Duan Deyu, then the County Magistrate of Xingzi County in Jiujiang City, and Cha Daihuang, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, local cultural figures such as Xu Xinjie and Yang Guofan jointly initiated the establishment of the "Xingzi Tao Yuanming Research Association" and "Wuliu Poetry Society", with the aim of studying Tao Yuanming, inheriting his poetic style, and promoting local cultural inheritance.

Subsequently, with the support of the county party committee and government, the Xingzi Tao Research Association successively launched conference books such as "The Great Poet Tao Yuanming", "Research on Tao Yuanming", and "On Tao". Mr. Xu Deluo, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, happily titled the conference book "Research on Tao Yuanming", and received strong support from scholars such as Shi Linghe, Luo Yuanzhen, Su Buqing, Zhong Yumin, Hu Guorui Gaoyang, Wang Shiyi, Tao Jinyan, and Zhang Quanxi.

In 2016, Xingzi County was abolished and renamed as Lushan City. The original Xingzi County Tao Yuanming Cultural Research Association was renamed as Lushan City Tao Yuanming Cultural Research Association, abbreviated as Lushan Tao Research Association.
